We are hiring a Teardown Technician. The Teardown Technician is responsible for providing a prompt and complete teardown and disassembly of a vehicle to prepare it for the Body Technician.
Other duties include:
- Perform a complete teardown of the assigned vehicle.
- Separate parts that require replacement from those needing repair.
- Assist the Body Technician as needed.
- Notifying Repair Planner of any additional repairs needed.
- Notifying management of any difficulties or problems that may prevent a quality job from being performed or cause a change in the promised time.
- Properly labeling and stored all parts and fasteners in a manor to avoid loss or damage.
- Assisting the parts department as needed in ordering the correct parts
- Cooperating and assisting other personnel in the repair and prepping of vehicles.
- Understanding, keeping abreast of, and complying with federal, state, and local regulations that affect body shop operations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know, etc.
- Maintaining a professional appearance.
- Maintaining a clean, professional, and safe work environment.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
Pay is based on experience. Starting at $18 hourly.

Qualifications:
- Valid Driverโs License and a clean driving record.
- This position requires lifting and carrying up to 80 lbs. as well as performing repetitive motions, frequent movement (i.e. bending, lifting, reaching, squatting, and getting in and out of vehicles) as well as standing for long periods of time
- Must solve practical problems and handle a variety of concrete variables in situations with limited standardization.
